I LOVED THESE SHORT STORIES!!!

Firstly, there was a short story about Ballard from Entreat Me meeting Silhara from Master of Crows in order to acquire an artefact. Ballard and Silhara get kind of drunk and brag about their wives a bit. ADORABLE! I wish there had been more.

Secondly, Silhara and Martise from Master of Crows have a big problem at hands because Martise is wasting away. Silhara is worried sick while Martise is sick in bed. And Silhara is so bloody adorable here!!! Silhara keeps stealing my heart again and again by being so loving and adorable with Martise. I wanted more.

Thirdly, there was a short story about Ildiko and Brishen from Wraith Kings. This one was the longest and it was also the most ... um, how do I say it? Erotic, would be the right term, I believe, as Brishen and Ildiko have a H. O. T. new experience between the sheets.

I have to say that ever since I was introduced to Brishen and Ildiko in Radiance I have been obsessed with their love story. This is a very short story of them after Brishen's abduction and them getting back into the groove of going to events. Ildiko his being asked about her love life and she is mum what goes on in the bedroom however she is curious about a certain act that she has not tried yet. This short story just a solidifies their relationship is growing and how comfortable there are getting with one another. I love these two and I really hope in The Ippos King we get to see them again.
I love "Master of Crows", so when I saw that two of these short stories involved Silhara, i snapped them up! Admittedly, I haven't read any other work by Ms. Draven, but even so, I enjoyed the characters and was intrigued enough to buy the novles/novellas they are featured in. Now, the story primarily focused on Silhara and Martise was, for me, unsurprising. I had my suspicions at the end of "The Brush of Black Wings" ), but it didn't make their story here any less enjoyable!

If you're a fan of Ms. Draven's other works, please know that this one WILL NOT DISAPPOINT! It's a quick read, but oh so worth it!
I didn't know this little gem was coming out and boy was it a pleasant surprise. I adore the characters in these short stories, you can feel their warmth and their love and their wicked glints of humor. You know this author loves her characters as much as her readers do. She has brought me back to the world of Louvaen and Ballard, my favorite not so beautiful beauty and not so beastly beast. Everyone gushes over Master of Crows, I love the book, my heart though belongs to Louvaen, her nose and her ability to not get pushed around even by herself. Let's lay it out for you all, this book is a bonbon of delight, and bit of sexiness. This is a tiny slice of magic that Grace Draven has gifted to us her readers, I love everything she weaves for us, in her lush wonderful worlds. Buy it, but only if you want to be hooked, and then go running to buy the novels these gems belong with.
Strong Blood -

I adored ENTREAT ME, so it was wonderful to see Louvaen and Ballard once again.

This time around Ballard must cross worlds to meet with the Master Of Crows to make a trade, a gem for an artifact in order to stop the blight on his crops.

Silhara and Ballard do business and then it's back home.

Fairly uneventful and quite short. 3 Savvy Crowns.

Crow Awakened -

Martise has been ill ever since her last ordeal with the underworld if you will and Silhara cannot bear it anymore, so he calls in help.

MASTER OF CROWS is what turned me into a fan of a Grace Draven, I loved it and have read it probably five times. This short was a lot of filler, though.

BUT... there is a super cute ending to this one...and for that I'll give it 3 Savvy crowns.

A Matter Of Trust -

RADIANCE was just an alright book for me, it paled in comparison to the other two previous books that were mentioned, but I digress. This short focuses around Brishen and Ildiko, they're still very much in love and Ildiko has taken it upon herself to ah... take matters into her own hands...

It was a cute glimpse into their newlywed life and deserving of 3 Savvy Crowns.

None of these were rave worthy to me, too short and just teasers but it was nice to see some old favorites again.

An overall 3 crown rating from me.
I love and adore anything this woman writes, and these glimpses are just as wonderful! I've already had the pleasure of reading CROW AWAKENED and STRONG BLOOD in the past, but if you haven't, you might be a little lost, so it's best if you were to read MASTER OR CROWS and ENTREAT ME so you can familiarize yourself with the characters and story. Grace entwined these worlds together with many years apart, and you won't be disappointed! I loved the little surprise in CROW AWAKENED, and I had my suspicions after reading A BRUSH OF BLACK WINGS!

Now for A MATTER OF TRUST, I was completely tickled by this! I couldn't keep the smile from my face as I read the gossip of the human women that made Ildiko blush and raise her curiosity. Scenes between Ildiko and Brishen are some of the most tender, sweet, and loving moments I've ever read. A friendship blossomed into real love, and this gave us a glimpse of something very intimate between two lovers. It's a wonderful addition/surprise! Be sure to read RADIANCE if you have not!
I had already read and loved the first two shorts in this collection and was thrilled to buy them. BUT THE THIRD STORY!!! A Matter of Trust is worth 99 cents on its own; it's hilarious and heartwarming and unbelievably sexy. And it's about Brishen and Ildiko, who may be my favorite different species couple.
