Good story with a couple of surprises. I like the way Nora Roberts writes her books. Keeps you reading toll the end the you wish you hadn't read so fast.
This story became really interesting when Liv explained to Thorpe why she was so shutoff. Also the turn of events at the end was exciting. The only thing I didn't like is the explicit description of lovemaking. It's not needed to make the story interesting.
Fast paced. Someting happening, going to happen or just happened, with clear, vivid, description of what, who, why, where and how things are progressing and real people who lives your interestined in.
Good read. Fun dialogue that made me laugh yet also good depth for this type of series stuff where female lead has scars but carries them with strength and character. Male lead is a good guy. And you get his point of view which endears him to you as the reader, in my opinion.

I'm a Nora Roberts fan, its true and i have to say this is one of the earlier ones that made her famous. It is suspenseful and romantic and sweet. Everything you look for in a NR novel
I have read nearly everything Nora Roberts has written, some more than once and always pre-order when a new book is coming out. I am sorry to say the last two or three books have been predictable and not up to her usual standards. I hope for better with the next one. I am presently reading Her Mother's Keeper and am not impressed. You can't win them all but please, Nora, get your mojo back!
